BEVY is an all-woman ensemble that formed in 2001 to play energizing Afro-Latin rhythms and songs. Their repertoire list has grown to include jazz standards, music by local composers, cabaret songs, and a touch of funk. BEVY’s sound incorporates trumpet, clarinet, flute, saxophones, trombone, upright bass, keyboard, vocals and a percussion section that includes drum kit, congas, bongos, surdo, and hand percussion. Their versatility encompasses everything from mellow background music to hard driving dance tunes.
Since 2001, BEVY has performed in festivals, clubs, conferences, farmers' markets,
schools, and parties throughout the Pacific Northwest. BEVY is also committed to supporting
other female musicians through modeling and mentoring. The fun they have on stage is contagious.
